We are excited to extend an invitation to an empowering event scheduled for September 8th, from 7-9 PM (Eastern Time).

Event Overview: “Strategize & Thrive: A Career Empowerment Event”
– Part 1 (30 minutes): The Winning Strategy Walk-Through
  – C.V.: Jackie Relyea, North Carolina State University
  – Cover Letter: Dosun Ko, Santa Clara University
  – Research Statement: Wonkyung Jang, University of Oklahoma
  – Diversity Statement: Soo Bin Jang, University of Delaware

– Part 2 (1 hour): Mentor’s Roundtable: CV and Cover Letter Masterclass
  – One mentor per major field and three doctorate-level professionals matched.
  – CV critique and refinement
  – Cover Letter workshop
  – Career navigation guidance
  – Insights into the job market
  – Networking advice
  – Other Q & A

All are welcome to attend Part 1 with no attendance restrictions. However, Part 2 will be limited due to the format, where 17 mentors will each provide feedback on the C.V.s and Cover Letters for three doctorate candidates.

The application deadline is August 27th. Everyone who applies can participate in Part 1. For Part 2, if we receive an overwhelming number of applications, preference will be given to those in the later stages of their career. For Part 2, you must submit the CV and Cover Letter you’d like feedback on. Please ensure you provide your most polished CV and Cover Letter by the deadline as the selection for the Mentor’s Roundtable is not first-come, first-served.

Applicants will be notified of the results via email around September 2-3.
