Feb 22, 2026
Dear Colleagues,
In the era of an unprecedented AI-driven transformation, education is facing a critical need to explore new directions. Advances in artificial intelligence are expected to deepen our understanding of the nature of learning, while also contributing to the creation of learning environments that enable personalized learning. At this critical juncture, we aim to provide an international forum for sharing and discussing research in the learning sciences.
Following last year’s conference, the 2nd International Conference on Learning Sciences and Educational Innovation (ICOLSEI 2026) will be held over two days, from June 26 to 27, 2026. Drawing on diverse perspectives from artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and learning sciences, this conference aims to re-examine prevailing assumptions about learning, intelligence, and human agency, and to serve as a point of convergence for envisioning the future of education.
The theme of ICOLSEI 2026 is “Rethinking Learning: Human Intelligence in the Age of AI.” Under this theme, the conference focuses on re-exploring the meaning of human intelligence in the age of AI and to engage in in-depth discussions on possibilities for coexistence between humans and artificial intelligence. In particular, by holding the conference prior to the Festival of Learning, which will take place in Korea starting on June 29, we anticipate active participation from scholars and researchers from around the world.
We invite researchers to submit abstracts for presentations by Friday, February 27. We warmly encourage your interest and active participation in this forum, where we will collectively reflect on and reimagine the future of learning and education.
