Dr. Soo-yong Byun
The Pennsylvania State University
Professor of Education (Educational Theory and Policy), Demography, and Asian Studies, with a joint appointment at Penn State's Social Science Research Institute. His research spans sociology of education, international comparative education, rural education, and educational policy analysis, with work published in American Educational Research Journal, Comparative Education Review, and Sociology of Education. Ph.D., University of Minnesota. KAERA President, 2017–18.
Dr. Ji Hoon Ryoo
Yonsei University
Professor of Education specializing in educational statistics and data science. A quantitative methodologist, he focuses on longitudinal and multilevel data analysis, latent variable modeling, and psychometrics. He previously served on the faculties of the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education and the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine. Ph.D., University of Minnesota. KAERA President, 2019–20.
